Positive thinking plays a major role in my classroom – if students know I think they can do it, it motivates them to try their hardest! This year, students will work on an Eric Carle author study where they read Eric Carle books and study the types of topics he writes about, as well as his art. My class then writes their own Eric Carle-style books as well as creates similar art pieces. The students’ growth, both academically and emotionally, is incredible!
