Every disabled child, in what ever manner or degree of intensity, is entitled to have access to his or her appropriate education in a loving, caring, creative and positive environment. Parents are a crucial part of the team, along with the school. Our students are taught to recognize their strengths and weaknesses with the ever present goal of being placed in their least restrictive environment to reach their potential and gained needed skills. Students take part in all of the school activities ranging from the Science Fair Projects to athletics and engaging life skills activities. Also, our students are excited about using various technological aids to assist with their academics. I love watching my students attain some previously unattainable goal. It is such a thrill to see them unlock the mysteries of reading, communicate clearly, and accomplish an unexpected physical task. |
