La Paloma Academy Duo Conquers Colored Light

Team takes third place at Southern Arizona Regional Science Fair

Tucson, AZ (3/30/09) – Girls really do love science class! La Paloma Academy fifth graders Alyssa White and Skylar Cadena took third place at the Southern Arizona Regional Science and Engineering Fair in the category of 5th Grade Life Sciences.

The girls’ winning project was entitled "Colored Light’s Effect On Plant Growth.” Alyssa and Skylar were honored with their award March 19 at the Tucson Convention Center.
