La Paloma Academy Announces Ride ‘Em Rodeo CarnivalCharter school celebrates rodeo break with fundraiser featuring rides, games, food & family fun Tucson, AZ (1/09/12) – La Paloma Academy invites the community to come out and celebrate rodeo break at their 2 nd Annual Ride ‘Em Rodeo Carnival. Families can enjoy a variety of carnival rides, games, prizes and food, all while raising funds for the Tucson nonprofit charter school. The carnival will take place February 23-26, 2012 on the Lakeside Campus at 8140 E. Golf Links Road and is open to the public. 2012 Ride ‘Em Rodeo Carnival Details Thursday, February 23: 5pm - 10pm Friday, February 24: Noon - 11pm Saturday, February 25: Noon - 100pm Sunday, February 26: Noon - 9pm Armbands for the carnival are now on sale for $15 in the La Paloma Academy school office. The armbands are good for unlimited rides during the day a guest attends. There is no limit to the number of bands that can be purchased. The armbands are pre-sale only, and will not be available for purchase at the event. “We look forward to once again bringing the community together – students, parents, teachers, and family members – for a fun, family-friendly event that celebrates Tucson’s rodeo history,” said La Paloma Lakeside Principal Steve Leininger. “Last year, a lot of folks had a great time and we were able to raise $5,000 towards updated technology for our kindergarten through eighth grade classrooms. We hope to surpass that goal this year while simultaneously providing a fun way to spend rodeo break.” Funds raised at this year’s Ride ‘Em Rodeo Carnival event will go towards providing classroom science programs and technological equipment for La Paloma, Southern Arizona’s largest and fastest-growing charter school system.
