La Paloma Academy to Host Back-to-School Haircut-a-Thon to Benefit Families in Need

Local stylists offer haircuts at Lakeside campus for emergency fund donations

Tucson, AZ (08/30/11) – La Paloma Academy, a tuition-free Tucson charter school, will be hosting its first-ever Haircut-a-Thon during the school’s Lakeside campus Open House, August 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. Local stylists will donate their time to provide haircuts for students and their families in return for donations to the school’s Emergency Fund.

The fundraising event will take place at the school’s Lakeside campus, located at 8140 E. Golf Links Road in Tucson. Donations from attendees will be added to the school’s Emergency Fund, which was created to help the families of students who are facing financial burdens. Funds raised during the Haircut-a-Thon will be used to provide shoes, sweaters and other necessities to La Paloma families in need.

Local stylists interested in donating their time and skills during the Haircut-a- Thon are asked to contact Irma at 520-991-0960 before August 31.
